A great experience for FlySight: SPIDVE Project Results now available

We are happy to announce that the SPIDVE factsheet is now published and available online on EDA (European Defence Agency) website, in addition to the SPIDVE publishable summary. Our team took part to this project in partnership with Leonardo S.p.a. and CNR – INO (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche – Istituto Nazionale di Ottica), with the following goals:
  • carry out an extensive survey of the state of the art on DVE modeling, simulation and measurement, image enhancement and fusion, new optical technologies for DVE mitigation;
  • identify the most relevant cases in terms of scenarios, applications and DVE conditions by directly consulting the military end users;
  • identify the most promising technologies for the DVE mitigation of the selected scenarios;
  • provide a roadmap for the required technical developments addressed to the improvement of the EU’s defense capabilities.

Designed as a core component of the OPENSIGHT platform, MAP CREATOR allows users to transform raster, elevation, and vector data into optimized MBTILES — a standard format for tiled offline maps — with just a few clicks.

MAP CREATOR boasts a modern, intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) that eliminates the need for command-line skills or programming knowledge. Users can upload individual files or entire folders, preview content, apply smart styling rules, and generate ready-to-use map packages in record time. Avionic Operators can now generate, preview, and load custom maps directly into the console environment — enhancing situational awareness and reducing reliance on external processing tools.

⚙️ Support for terrain-aware vector rendering using elevation sources

⚙️ 3D extrusion and label rendering for intuitive map outputs
