An architecture of a smart electro-optical sensor suite to improve situational awareness of the military scenario and optimise the decision-making performance – That innovative challenge takes name of PASEOS, the project born within the Captech Electro Optical Sensors Technologies (EOST). FlySight (IT) is involved in the project’s development in collaboration with the other two EU partners, Fraunhofer (DE) and MBDA (IT).
The project demonstration phase has already had a green light and at the end of the month it will be possible to meet & look its progress during European Defence Innovation Days 2023 to be held in Brussels on 31 May and 1 June – the second edition of the Europan Defence Agency Conference & Exhibition focused on connecting technological innovation and capability development.
In order to gain a better understanding of the high-level and potential future capabilities in defence applications related to sensors fusion & systems, PASEOS is developing and combining innovative AI-driven information fusion techniques with the latest statistical, machine learning and situation awareness techniques. The systematic cooperation between partners has been a breeding ground for the project activity definition, the challenges involved, until its evolution in a system able to support operators, greatly enhancing the specific defence applications.
