It was an honour for FlySight to have taken part at the first cross CapTech project preparation workshop titled “Multispectral infrared technologies for defence” organized by the European Defence Agency (EDA).
Our CTO Andrea Masini made his talk about “Hyperspectral Sensors: Systems, Applications and Perspective”, presenting FlySight’s use and applications of hyperspectral sensors in the field of Decision Support Systems for aerospace, defence&security and civil infrastructure.
This EDA’s project scoping workshop was deemed to be necessary to shape the outline of a possible cross-CapTech R&T activity. The development of a European source of infrared detectors and sources is necessary for future advanced optronics sensors.
Four topics have been selected for the discussion and potential joint projects:
- IR Hyperspectral cameras
- Multispectral/Multiresolution panoramic IR cameras
- Wideband IR EO counter (counter) measure systems
- Innovative multiband IR systems and technologies
