FlySight is pleased to announce its participation in VERTICON 2026, taking place in Atlanta from March 10 to 12, at the Georgia World Congress Center.
VERTICON is the world’s largest conference and trade show dedicated to the international vertical aviation industry. With more than 600 exhibitors, the event brings together operators, manufacturers and technology providers supporting airborne missions across civil, governmental and defence domains.
During the event, FlySight will welcome visitors at Booth B9928, where attendees will be able to discover the latest evolutions of OPENSIGHT Mission Console, a key solution specifically designed for airborne platforms and avionic payload operators.
OPENSIGHT Mission Console leverages onboard equipment data within an Enhanced Reality environment, optimizing situational awareness on tactical displays in highly dynamic and time-critical flight conditions. The system is built around a powerful moving map capability, supporting raster and vector layers, real-time image-over-map projection, search pattern visualization, field-of-view heatmaps, and both direct and inverse geocoding. Perfect alignment with avionics navigation standards, while dedicated MapCreator tools allow fast and flexible map generation.
At the core of the system lies a high-performance 3D rendering engine, enabling real-time vector overlay and augmented reality visualization using both standard and user-defined data. These capabilities are designed to provide payload operators with immediate spatial understanding, even in degraded visual environments.
OPENSIGHT further integrates an advanced geodatabase framework supporting accurate direct and inverse geocoding, ensuring precise correlation between sensor data, video streams and geospatial references. Real-time video processing and georeferencing allow operators to efficiently manage live imagery directly within the tactical display.
The Enhanced Reality architecture includes direct frame grabber interfaces and custom plugins for proprietary metadata, supporting full HD scene georeferencing at operational frame rates. Image processing modules such as equalization, dehazing, mosaicing, super-resolution and advanced enhancement algorithms further improve image interpretability in challenging conditions.
Designed with a full touchscreen HMI, OPENSIGHT Mission Console enables fast, intuitive interaction and supports efficient mission execution for airborne crews.
Throughout VERTICON 2026, FlySight’s Application Specialist Giacomo Fontanelli and Software Engineer Francesco Carli will be available at the booth to demonstrate the system and discuss how OPENSIGHT continues to evolve to support critical avionics operations.
FlySight looks forward to welcoming visitors in Atlanta and showcasing how enhanced reality and geospatial intelligence can elevate airborne mission effectiveness.
