Fog Suppression Retinex

FSR Toolbox

Developed specifically to enhance visibility through fog situations.
Performance – standard configuration:

  • 25 frame/sec in QVGA
  • 20% range visibility enhancement

Infrared Enhancing

IRE Toolbox

IRE toolbox makes use of dynamic compression and contrast enhancement methodologies to enhance important details within complex scenes.

Enanchement depends on scenarious features and on sensor saturation.

Electronic Stabilization

E-STAB Toolbox

Video stabilization is achieved by means of algorithms based on optical flow estimation, allowing to significantly remove platform vibrations at the same time.

Real-time Mosaicing

RTM Toolbox

Real-time mosaicing is useful to obtain a quick overview of the monitored scenarios without losing any detailed information captured by the sensor.

Automatic Target Recognition

ATR Toolbox

ATR toolbox is able to detect known targets in a complex scenario.

Performance and features:

  • Up to 10 frame/sec in FHD
  • Target georefencing
  • Decision fusion with radar MTI outputs available

Aircraft Position Reconstruction

APR Toolbox

Assuming that GPS data are not available due to reception failure or jamming, the aircraft attitude as well as the sensor attitude data are known and can thus be used to help the position reconstruction process.

Limiting only to the optical sensors (both in the visible and in the infrared bands), the modern images processing techniques are employed to detect and recognize the presence of one or more known ground targets.

Knowing the sensors parameters and the aircraft attitude, then the aircraft position is reconstructed by means of a triangulation technique.

Time varying phenomena can be tracked by means of active tracking techniques.

Ortho-Mosaic Toolbox

OM Toolbox

The OM tool performs automatic mosaicing of the images which have been captured during the flight. OM tool exploits metadata available from the avionics and the texture information contained within images.

SR Toolbox

Developed to enhance target resolutions, exploiting same scenarios subsequent frames.

Flight Replanning

FR Toolbox

In real world applications, targets and forbidden areas (such as no-fly-zones) can change during the mission. In these situations, a route replanning is required to determine the route that the vehicle has to follow. For this reason a dynamic replanning Toolbox is ready to be used.

  • Use of DTED and/or SRTM elevation Data
  • Possibility to manage and change vehicle parameters

HS sensor is the hyperspectral sensors data simulation plug-in.
